BURSARIES
BURSARIES
Support for families in need
BURSARY APPLICATIONS
The School Governing Body (SGB) as well as the Heads follow a thorough evaluation process to determine which students are most in need when selecting recipients for the limited number of available bursaries.
CHS gives from 5% (partial) to (full) 100% bursaries.
This process typically involves assessing various factors such as:
1. FINANCIAL NEED
We consider income and financial circumstances of the applicant’s family.
2. EXPENSES
We evaluate the applicant’s expenses, including household expenses, medical costs, transportation, and any other significant financial obligations.
3. LUXURIES & ENTERTAINMENT
We examines the applicant’s discretionary spending on luxuries and entertainment to assess the level of financial need.
4. ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AND INVOLVEMENT
We may consider the academic performance and potential of the applicant to determine their commitment to education and the potential impact of the bursary on their educational journey as well as the overall involvement, support and contribution.
5. OTHER SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
We take into account any special circumstances that may affect the financial need of the applicant, such as family size, medical conditions, or other extenuating circumstances.
By considering these factors, we aim to allocate bursaries to those students who demonstrate the greatest financial need and would benefit the most from the assistance. The aim is to ensure fairness and equity in the selection process.
Should your application not be approved, please do not take offense. Eligibility for the bursary is typically calculated, based on combined income and an average of 10% of your salary allocated for school fees.
Please only apply if your circumstances warrant assistance or you are facing financial desperation, this programme was created to alleviate burdened families, who are unable to further cut down on essentials needed to survive, kindly keep this in mind before applying.
A reminder applications will not be processed should all supporting documents not be provided in full or forms incomplete.
Should you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we are here to assist and support you in any way we can.
